Switch system

For moving transport trolleys and service trucks within the greenhouse, we make use of 2 types of switch system: the monorail and the rotating switch.

Monorail switch system

The monorail switch system is used to move transport trolleys from one pipe to another. Using the add-on switch, the trolley route is altered manually.  

Rotating switch

The rotating switch is often combined with electric trolleys. These trolleys move around the greenhouse completely automatically. They travel round the bends slowly and move plants around the greenhouse. This switch system is used when different colours need to be picked from different locations, for filling, emptying and refilling a greenhouse.
